Pig Festival 2018alcott

Finally, the main dish of Butafest, alcott, appears! They start their live performance with "Supernova" with great energy. As expected of a home venue, the venue quickly becomes the alcott world. The members play naturally. For the second song, "Yellow", Takada Saiji (Vo/Gt) puts down his guitar and sings with a hand microphone as if he is speaking to each and every audience member on the floor. Smiles abound at the performance that makes you feel no distance between the floor and the stage. Next, they drop their new number "Doll Pop". Uchida Masayuki (Gt/Cho) and Tani Satoshi (Ba/Cho) come forward to incite the audience. The audience claps non-stop to the riveting rhythm.

During the MC, Takada commented on his joy at the sold-out tickets. He also expressed his gratitude for the many people who came to the event from outside of Kobe. The members of Alcott conveyed their gratitude to the bands that were performing. This was met with a generous round of applause from the audience.

They performed "Kokuhakuki", a track from their latest album "Amanojakushi", which was produced with the idea of "helping the person who can't be honest to grow". The lively vocals and honest performance touched the hearts of the audience.

The band continued with "Sakura no Fumoto". Uchida's guitar solo and Tetsuro Koura's drum sound were impressive and drew the audience in, and the excitement continued as they performed the last number, "Sono Sugata wa Utsukushii". It seemed as if the band and the audience were united in creating the stage.

The calls for an encore didn't stop, and Alcott appeared again, answering the expectations by asking, "Are you still hungry?" For the encore, they chose "Tsugainochou," a song that expresses their feelings for a person who symbolizes Kobe. It was a song that only they could sing, as they cherish their hometown, and they closed the 6th Butafes. It was the one day a year when they were allowed to indulge in music to the fullest. After it was all over, the audience all had full looks on their faces.

Drama Store's performance before the final act began on a refreshing note with "Himitsu." The audience, who had been waiting for their appearance, immediately had smiles on their faces. Seeing this, Hasegawa Kai (Vo/Gt) returned the favor with a big smile. The rhythmic melody of "Sanmon Shibai," with its dramatic development, grabs your heart and never lets go. "For the audience who are still hungry," the band said as they performed "Girls Rule." The lively piano sounds of Toriyama Takashi (Gt/Key) and the band sound intertwine to make your heart feel excited just by listening to it.

Hasegawa revealed that he and alcott were senior and junior in their university days. Although he said that "alcott used to be a scary senior," he was happy that they have now been entrusted with the important position of opening act. He expressed his gratitude for appearing at Butafest and played "Shijyou no Kuron," a number that could be said to be their forte. The meticulously calculated emotional melody struck a chord. Next, they played "Swimmy," which highlighted the band ensemble. The powerful performance completely changed the atmosphere on the floor.

The last song they performed was "Fantasia". They played every note carefully until the very end, and they never forgot to make the audience smile. They left a lasting impression on the audience, especially before the main dish of alcott.

Pig Festival 2018WOMCADOLE

Buta Fes was just at the halfway point. WOMCADOLE appeared to liven up the festival even more, and captured the hearts of the audience from the rehearsal, saying, "Get even more excited!" By the time the live started, the floor was overflowing with people. The band played "Ningen Nandezume" as the first song. The audience all raised their fists in response to the passionate performance. To further stimulate the audience, they continued with "Zetsubou wo Uke", captivating even the audience on the second floor.

"I lose my memory every time I go to a Buta Fes after-party," said Higuchi Yuki (Vo/Gt) with a smile. After calling out, "Let's have a blast!", they played "Moon." He began singing, "I don't mind dying if it's with you," changing the atmosphere on the floor. Although it was an emotional number, the core of the song was conveyed well. Next came the rock ballad "Kemuri" and "To Aokiharu." The audience burned the scene into their memories.

The band chose "Lighter" as the last number. The audience raised their fists vigorously in response to Higuchi's singing voice. I witnessed the moment when the feelings of all the people in VARIT became one.

The cilmbgrow stage opened with the superb shouts of Yasumasa Sugino (Vo/Gt). In the first song, "Kazeyafuke," Sugino continued shouting as if he was talking to the audience. "If you can't keep up, go home!" he incited the audience, immediately overwhelming them. In the next song, "RAIN," they showed off their wild performance, and the whole venue was at their pace. The performance continued with a heavy feel, moving on to "SCARLET," which had an oldies feel.

During the MC, Sugino called out, "Come down to the first floor," and the floor was packed. "Why don't we turn this into a crazy live house?" he said, and then played the danceable number "GOLDEN HOUR." The guitar riff played by Kondo Kazutsugu (Gt) from the intro got the audience excited. Even though the excitement on the floor was already at its peak, they continued to play "Rasgano" and "LILY" in succession. The driving numbers heated up the whole of VARIT.

The last number was "To a Colorful Night". The solid sound reverberated throughout VARIT. Although it was their first appearance at Butafes, cilmbgrow showed off a stage that stood out from the other bands. As they declared, "We are Japanese rock and roll", the entire audience became witnesses to real rock and roll.

Pig Festival 2018POT

POT started off the night with a bang with "SYAKUNETSU BEAT". Their inherent positivity created a homely atmosphere right from the start. They continued with "EPIC" with the same vibe, and the audience responded by jumping from the intro. Oda (Vo/Gt)'s face also began to smile, and VARIT was filled with a sense of euphoria. The relentless beat of "Hustle Carnival" excited the audience to the point of moshing. In "BA-DONKA-DONK", Yoshi-kun (Vo/Gt) actively encouraged the audience. In response, the excitement in the venue steadily rose.

The members imitated Alcott, and while getting laughs, they never forgot to be grateful. The band played "Supra" with the hope that the audience would "enjoy the live performance from the bottom of their hearts." The whole venue naturally smiled at the straightforward performance that is unique to POT.

They performed "YOLO" one after the other, and the floor was filled with more and more happiness. After their kind message of "If you're feeling down, come to the live house!", they performed the last song, "COUNTDOWN". The quiet room started the live with "Fressy", which was perfect for self-introductions. The audience also clapped along to the performance, which made the venue a lively atmosphere. In the next song, "Prism", Ryo Kikuchi (Vo/Gt) was impressive as he sang carefully while looking straight at the audience.

Pig Festival 2018hamburgers

The first act to perform at the 6th Butafes was the Hanbredders, a four-piece rock band from Osaka. They played "School Magician Girl" to live up to the expectations of the audience, capturing their hearts right from the get-go. The next song they performed was "Shojiki no Hako" (Common Sense Within the Range), and the audience naturally swayed to the light beat. The band then played "Endless Hate". The audience listened intently to the strong message of Mutsumura Akira's (Vo/Gt) singing voice.

After an MC in which they talked about their interactions with alcott, with whom they have played together in the past, the band played "CRYING BABY" from their latest album. After wrapping the venue in their own love song, they played "Sound for the Weak" with an intense ensemble to completely change the atmosphere. The distorted guitar sound of Yoshino Explosion (Gt/Cho) raised the mood, and in the chorus, the singing voices of Mutsumura, Yoshino, and Derashi (Ba/Cho) incited the audience.

The last song played was "DAY DREAM BEAT". We could see the Hanbredderz's honest attitude towards music. It was a youthful stage that was fitting for the opening of Butafest.
