[Interview] INSPi
Shinji Okumura makes his long-awaited return with the summer tour “Dawso-kai”!
In the 2017 winter tour "16ppoi ne☆", INSPi entertained the audience with a variety of gimmicks, using a variety of different microphones to fully display the charm of a cappella, and performing everything from standard songs to cover songs. Expectations for this year's summer tour "Douso Kai" are also rising.
Atsushi SugitaThe basis of harmony is the relationship between 1st and 5th, which is C and G in terms of notes. If C and G are stable at a good distance from each other, other notes such as E and B♭ will naturally come in. In other words, C and G are our base.
Takehiko KitaActually, right now, we are all working individually while also performing live and making videos as INSPi. We don't meet every day and communicate closely, but we're all working hard in our own places. I felt that this feeling was similar to the high school reunion I recently attended.
The friends who spent their youth together understand their current situation and feelings without them having to say it. 17 years have passed since the group was formed, and it is because the six of them have shared the good times and the bad that they have landed on the "Douso Club."
Takafumi WatanabeMusic captures the feelings, scenery, and flow of time of the era when you listened to it. Therefore, the set list will include songs that can be shared between "those days" and "now" not only with the members but also with fans and audiences across generations.
Keisuke YoshidaThe a cappella we continue to perform is performed without instruments, with only human voices, with both accompaniment and singing. If someone's voice gets a little out of sync, then they listen to the voices around them instead of themselves, and support each other. This is the kind of music we use. I hope that people will never forget the importance of "listening to the voices around us" in any era.
INSPi's live performances always deliver excitement that far exceeds expectations, and this summer there's an even bigger surprise in store!
Shinji OkumuraSorry to have kept you waiting, but I will be returning from my summer tour! Thank you so much for your support during my break. I have overcome my illness and will do my best to make my new singing voice resonate with everyone's hearts.
Tomoyuki OkuraFor about a year, the five of them have been covering for Shinji's absence, but this summer you can enjoy the harmony of all six of them together for the first time in a while!
